Description:
August comes to rescue as an owner surrender to a shelter in KY and made his way to MN. His DOB 8.01.18 and his adoption fee is $350.00.

I’m August, Auggie for short. I am enjoying my time with my foster family, but I really would love to find a family to call my own! Not to brag, but I think I am a pretty handsome and smart dude that would make an amazing addition to a family (my foster family tells me this everyday so it must be true!). I listen and know all my basic commands, I’m crate trained and house broken and am extremely friendly to all humans who love to snuggle with me. I would love a family that has no small animals (cats included) as they are not my thing. I may get along with a mild mannered female dog of similar size, but we would have to see if we have a connection.

I hold almost all of your typical German Shepherd characteristics except I can sometimes be afraid of loud or new noises. But once I am shown it is nothing to worry about, I am fine with it (did you know fridges have a loud machine that gives out ice cubes?! It is the coolest now that I know what that noise means). I love to run around the yard and play to run off all my energy. Tennis balls, jolly balls and Frisbees are my favorite toys!

I’m sure you are wondering how a perfect boy like me still hasn’t found my forever family, I must admit, I do have some quirks I am still learning about. Before I came into rescue I had no rules or boundaries. As a result of this, I get really excited when I meet a new friend and will jump up; I just think it is so exciting to see someone new and greet them. I have been working on this quirk and am getting better every day and I think I have improved tremendously. Apply today to meet me and I would love to show you all l have learned and how good I can be!

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be confined in an under ground fenced yard. This dog requires a 6 fenced, secure yard. We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or kept outside 24/7. They must live in the house with the humans. If you want an "outdoor dog" only, please look elsewhere. To apply go to www.faerielandrescue.org under resources and complete an application.
