I’d like everyone to meet Atlas. This beautiful German Shepherd just can not catch a break. 
He was running the streets for 6+ weeks and no one was able to catch him.  ROAR was not going to accept the fate that awaited him if he didn’t get help so we purchased a live trap to get the job done. After over 2 weeks of trying with the trap we finally succeeded. This boy is very intelligent and very sweet after he meets you. He has very good manners and just wants to please! He has not been tested with other dogs but he does not appear to love them so the best home for Atlas would probably be one without other pets.  I honestly think he would do best in a home with no small children manly because of his size. He was heartworm positive but has been through treatment and has beaten that!  He came to rescue and found a home with a wonderful man and the 2 are the best of friends. Now Atlas finds himself in need of a new home. It turns out his dad is having vision issues and some health complications that are causing him to have to move to his daughters property and he is not able to bring Atlas with. Everyone is just devastated.  We are looking for a home that can handle a dog Atlas’s size. He is super smart and very loving and loyal.
