***This dog requires working breed experience, i.e. German Shepherd, Malinois, Rottweiler, Australian Cattle Dogs, etc*** Name: Spike Breed: German Shepherd Birthday: 4/27/2017 Sex: Male Weight: 61 lbs Good with Dogs: Big dogs yes, no small dogs Good with Cats: No Good with Kids: Yes, older preferred if any Spike is a beautiful, obedient, fairly serious in temperament German Shepherd who enjoys working. He is fairly mellow but enjoys jaunts protecting the yard and has learned to walk on the leash and listen to his handlers. He is food and toy motivated. Spike was surrendered to us after being purchased from a breeder when his owner was stationed overseas and did not want to take Spike with him. Despite the upheaval in his life, Spike has adapted admirably and is doing well on the routines and expectations at the rescue. He would do best with an adopter that knows the demands of his breed and can provide the mental stimulation he, like so many others, requires. ---- Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $250-350+. Although our rescue dogs share a common bond with one another, no rescue story is the same (even when similar). Vetting costs vary depending on their health conditions. All of our dogs are fully vetted: up-to-date on annual shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped with a lifetime registration.
