Dumbledore is just a fun, happy German Shepherd dog. This goofball is always ready for some action, be it playing fetch, going for a walk, or just getting attention. He is a new addition to our program. We estimate his age to be about 5 to 7 years old, although based on his energy level you would swear he is just ending his puppy phase.

Sedona Shepherd is in need of a foster home with NO other animals for Dumbledore. He is heart worm positive. Before we begin his treatment, we need to secure a foster home.

This playful boy is super friendly with most people. Dumbledore can sometimes become a little too attached to his handler and get nervous when large men approach. He will bond quickly with any new owner. When we first met Dumbledore, we were told that he was good with other dogs. However, he gets over excited on walks when he sees other dogs and has not wanted to interact in a positive manner with any of the Sedona dogs. Dumbledore will do best with an experienced German Shepherd owner.

He is up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered and in good health. Prior to entering our program Dumbledore was diagnosed with heart worm. He has begun the first part of the treatment, which is a 30 day protocol taking doxycycline. Beginning in May, he will start the second phase of treatment, whereupon he will need to be kept relatively calm for 4 to 6 weeks. After completion of the second portion of his protocol he will be available for adoption.

Any potential adopter must agree to at least two training sessions. If located in central, northern, or western New Jersey, Canine Dimensions will proved the training sessions free of charge. Although not required, a fenced in yard is a plus.
