Max is one of those cute dogs who probably outgrew their humans. He got too big and too strong. Nevertheless, he is friendly to people and is reported to be generally friendly to other dogs. German Shepherds in general are active and energetic dogs that like to stay busy. Max would probably do best in an active household and even might be good for hikes. He is still a very young dog and would benefit from consistent positive training. We suspect that an affectionate and lovable personality will max out in a new home. Are you ready for Max? 10/4 Update: A volunteer has reported that Max met her at the front of the kennel and he was easy to leash. He explored the play yard with a relaxed body, mid-tail wag.
