Meet MAX - Found wandering around a neighborhood in pretty bad shape. Poor fella was extremely underweight, fly strikes on both ears, and very little muscle mass on his back end. He was obviously not being looked after and when the owners couldnt be found the Good Samaritans who took him in contacted us.

Despite the bad shape he was in, Max is a super sweet and gentle dog. He is very happy to be with his humans and doesnt seem to need a companion animal, but we believe he would likely be happy to have a house buddy judging by his eagerness to make doggie friends. Max likes to be scratched and rubbed and enjoys all sorts of human attention. His favorite toy is his tennis ball that he likes to chase, but I dont think he quite understands the concept of bringing it back ..... yet.

Max is not very demanding of time or attention and can stay at home by himself even if you have to leave for work. He enjoys free reign in the house and has not needed to be crated. Max is not much of a barker and sits quietly at the back door when he wants to come in from the outside. He doesnt appear to be very treat or food motivated and eats only when hungry (thankfully no begging at the table or counter surfing). Overall, he has a pretty chill attitude and makes a great companion!

Max MUST have carpeted/rugs or rolled vinyl floors and a home that doesnt have too many stairs. He absolutely cannot do hardwoods or any hard vinyl tile or composite flooring because he would have no traction.

Sweet Max still needs to go thru HW treatment so wont be ready to go to his new home until medically cleared, which means any potential home must be willing to wait. But believe me, he is well worth the wait!
