Description:
Scout is a beautiful, fun 1.5-year-old German Shepherd dog. He is a neutered male in good health. Scout has only been with my family for a short time but he is very easy to bond with. He needs someone with the time to get to know him, however, as he is people shy. Hes never been around young children that I know of, but he enjoys the company of other animals and is a friendly playmate for other dogs. He enjoys exercising, gentle rough housing and horseplay, and following his person everywhere they go. Weve worked with him on basic hand commands and whistles but again, he will need someone with time to get to know him and work with him.
Scout does well in a pen or enclosure while his owner is at work or running errands but prefers room to run and/or to come along with you for the day. He does well indoors/outdoors.
Scouts only real negative trait is his skittish personality. Because of his breed and size, it could be dangerous for strangers to surprise him. He has, however, shown great improvement in temperament when meeting new people since hes come to our home.

If adopted, Scout will come with the following to ease the transition- His Food and Water Dishes, a Harness that fits well, a Retractable Leash, a Toy or two, and a Bag of Food to mix while transitioning him to the diet of your preference.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
