Gender: Male

Spay/Neuter: Yes

Current on vaccinations: Yes

Heartworm status: Negative

Current on heartworm prevention: Yes

Microchipped: Yes

Good with dogs: Good with dogs: He does fine with dogs at daycare. However, due to his protectiveness, stranger dogs cannot come into our home and he lunges at dogs on walks and parks. He may get along fine with dogs in a new home/environment but I cant say for sure.

Good with kids: Does ok with our 1 year old

Good with cats: Does ok with our 1 cat

Housebroken: Yes

Crate trained: Yes

Temperament: Nervous/Reactive and has shown signs of aggression.

Behavioral issues: Reactivity and sometimes aggression. Max is very loving but very protective. Due to this, he is reactive towards other dogs and people around the house or while Im with him at a park/walk. He is capable of being social as he goes to a daycare. However, if new employees or other people/pets are around at the drop off or pickup, I need to be very careful. He is a nervous dog and can be startled and react even at home. He has never bitten anyone but has come close and also has had a few nips. He requires an experienced owner. Preferably someone who has experience with this type of dog.

Reason for surrender: Due to his reactivity and sometimes aggression, I can no longer provide a safe environment for him and it is not a safe environment for us.
