Description:
Alex is a very playful and active 4 year old Golden Retriever mixed breed boy. This guy loves to play fetch in the backyard and likes going swimming. Alex thinks car rides are great too. He enjoys walks and hiking, but does need to continue his leash work since he does have reactivity: barking and lunging at other dogs and men. This does not mean he is not friendly (this is only while on a leash). His leash behaviors are currently being worked on with a trainer and we are confident it will continue to improve with patience and practice. Alex will come with a training package paid for by HHDR.

He has done well with doggy guests in his home and does warm up to strangers. Alex absolutely loves children of all ages. They really do make him very happy. One of Alex’s favorite things is playing tag with kiddos. He’s housebroken and crate trained, but the crate is not his favorite. His current home does not crate him and he has done fine alone. Alex has not shown any destructive behaviors while having free reign of his home and backyard.

We know Alex will love his new family unconditionally and will bond with them. He is currently living with his original adopter. He is being returned because they are moving out of the country to travel and they do not want to take Alex with them. He has lived with this family for two years, please understand he will have an adjustment period, but we know with patience, love and continued training he will be your best furry friend!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
