Description:
Meet Sam! Sam is approximately 10 months old and thought to be a Great Dane mix. He was found as a stray and was not claimed by his family, so we dont know what his life/routine was like prior to being found.

Sam is incredibly friendly, and like most dogs of that breed mixture, he has no idea how big he is! ;) With that in mind, we think hell do well with children, but his adult owners should supervise, make sure he understands how to introduce himself calmly, and understand that accidents may happen and he might unintentionally knock over the little kiddos. We recommend continuing with basic obedience and manners training, and allowing him plenty of puppy play time to release that energy!

Along with play time, Sam should have lots of regular structured exercise like daily walks. This will help him to release energy while also working on his basic skills, along with solidifying his bond with his humans!

We think Sam would love to have a doggy play mate! Were not sure how he is with kitties, but at his age we believe hed be just fine after being properly introduced and supervised. Hes keeping his kennel clean here at the shelter, so we think hes potty trained - however, at this age, his family should expect to continue with structured potty training so that he can learn the new schedule. And remember, accidents may happen!

Sam is just a loving, goofy, playful, clumsy and aDORKable boy who cannot wait to find a family of his own! He is fully vaccinated and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $150.00

We can schedule a time for you to meet Sam after an adoption application has been approved:
