If you have a question or inquiry please email us at email@example.com Atticus aka Mr. Finch was left to die, tied up, out of sight, in the back of an abandoned property in rural GA, without food, water, or shelter for some months after his owners moved and left him tied up there where no one could see him. He was discovered by a neighbor walking her own dog and was initially thought to have died. She knew the owners had moved and assumed they took their dog with them. Horrified when he actually moved, hes alive! So she ran home to get some food and water and called for help. We of course got him immediately to our vet. They were sickened at his condition, so dehydrated and emaciated, weak, matted and totally defeated. His body had started to digest itself. His organs had begun shutting down. We got to him JUST in time! After a week long hospital stay he was stable enough to travel here to NJ into a loving foster home. Atticus is feel much better. Gaining weight, happy, sweet and loving life. He is approx 7 yrs old, housebroken, walks nicely on leash and loved everyone he meets. One of the sweetest,, gentlest sould you ever meet. He gets along with the other animals in his foster home but definitely prefers his people. We would love for Atticus to find his forever home so that he can continue his journey to becoming whole again. And his new family could be part of his amazing transformation while soaking up all the love and attention from his new forever family. Atticus LOVES everyone he meets, especially men, hes a chill, laid back guy who loves to hang outside in the yard. He actually considers it his duty to be outside. So a securely fenced yard is a must for him.. He likes other dogs as long as they dont play rough. Hes an easy going, sweet soul. Waiting for his happily ever after.
