Hi, Im Duke! Im a lovable Pyrenees/collie mix with an attractive orange/tan and white coat. Im a very sweet boy and love to meet people and get affection, but I can get a little carried away sometimes in my excitement, and for a dog my size that can be a bit to handle. I need some work on my manners before Ill be a perfect pet, but once I settle into my new home and learn the routine, Ill likely show the traits the herding and livestock guarding breeds in my heritage--gentle and relaxed but alert and quick to spring into action if anything changes. I have bursts of energy but Im a sprinter, not a marathoner--once Ive had a nice long walk or a few laps around the yard, Im ready to chill for a while! Im affectionate and will make a wonderful family dog but, because of my size and enthusiasm, I would probably do best with older children who I wont easily knock over when I come bounding over to say hello!
