MORE ON ADOPTING OUR DOGS...

Thanks for considering adopting a rescue through the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City!

Here’s what to expect when you adopt a pet:
• Please visit the shelter during our adoption hours Tuesday through Friday 11am to 4pm and Saturday 11am to 3pm.
• We will include a conversation with an adoption team member and ample time to visit the pet of your choice or one of our other our adoptable pets. Keep in mind that some of our pets are in our facility while others are with foster parents.
• Once you have made the decision to adopt a pet. The pet has had a recent wellness check by our veterinarian, most of the dogs and puppies are able to go home the same day!
• In addition to having the support of our staff you’ll receive information to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home.

About our shelters pets:
•\tAll of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
