Description:
Imagine walking down the street and hearing music playing only to see a dog bebopping down the street to a completely different beat. That dog would be Gary Goose. This dog epitomizes “dancing to the beat of his own drum”. Gary Goose is around 6 months old and became a Misfit after he and a sibling were found shortly after birth. Unfortunately, his sibling didn’t make it, so Gary Goose needed a safe place to grow and learn “to dog”. Gary is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped!

Gary Goose LOVES life! He bounces more than he runs or walks – we are pretty sure if he could skip, he would! Gary loves all things puppy – toys, romping in the yard with his foster siblings, eating until his belly can’t possibly hold another morsel, and napping. Gary lives with foster siblings of all ages and sizes and does great with everyone. He has zero concept of another dog not liking him, which probably helps them all like him. If someone doesn’t want to play, Gary doesn’t let that get him down…he just finds a toy and bebops around by himself. He likes to tell you if he’s upset, and if you don’t understand what he is saying, he might try saying it louder. Haha! But overall, he’s not a big barker unless he wants to play or eat.

Gary Goose always lives with cats and has very little interest in them. Adopters need to understand that Gary is still a puppy and will need work on potty training and learning correct behaviors. He’s a very good puppy, but as with any puppy, they make bad decisions and need our (humans) help learning and understanding. Gary prefers to explore the world with a slip lead rather than a harness – the harness seems to freak him out! He is a little unsure in new situations, but is a quick sell on all things adventures have to offer. Gary Goose is looking for a patient, fun loving, puppy kissing, outgoing family to call his own! If you think this might be you, send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application!

…and while he waits, Gary Goose will just be out there teaching other puppies how to zoom to the beat of their own drum!
