Dogs Name: SKID Estimated Breed : Jack Russell Terrier mix Approximate Age: 3-5 years Approximate Weight: approx. 15 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $375 DOGS DESCRIPTION Skid is a happy boy that loves to run and play with stuffed toys. He is a little timid at first, but he will settle right in with routine. He enjoys affection from his humans, but is not needy. Skids ideal home is a rural or suburban home with a fenced yard, he will no do well in the city. He is very smart and eager to learn. Hes got the crate training covered, he came from a home with 11 other dogs when the owner passed away so may be fairly housetrained. Will you give sweet Skid a chance at a better life? Hed love to be your best buddy! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
