The BFPA website will provide more information. All dogs on our website ARE available. FOSTER COMMENTS: Lou aka Kahlua is a 10 year old Labrador Retriever mix. He is 76 pounds of love, looking for a home that will love him thru his senior years. Kahlua is very friendly to humans, dogs and cats. He would do best around older children who will respect a senior dog. He would do great in a home as an only dog but would be fine with a doggie sibling that would love to chill just like him. Kahlua was surrendered to a local shelter by his owner who didnt want him anymore. He had a skin condition that was not cared for so was missing a lot of fur. But now he is getting the care he needs. Kahlua looks so much better and is feeling so much better too. He will need continued care until his skin is fully healed. There are still areas of his body that dont have fur but it is coming back. Even with all that, he is a loving dog that is happy and joyful. Kahlua is totally house broken and leash trained. He is crate trained but he prefers not to be in the crate. His house manners are such that he does not require a crate. Kahluas energy level is moderate. A great day for him would be a few leash walks, which he absolutely loves to do, good meals and laying on the couch with you watching T.V. or snoozing while you work on your computer. Kahlua is a great older dog. He is a couch potato and just wants to be with you. He is smart and knows the basic commands; sit, come, stay! Kahlua would love to meet you and show you what an awesome dog he is. Are you available?
