Description:
Sweet, smart, trained, big boy looking for his forever homeCalling #teamlabrador! We have a yellow lab boy named Rex who needs your help.

This goofball truly is all lab and hes an entertaining pleasure to spend time with. Rexs first love is his bonded humans and he adores scritches and snuggles from his people. A *very* close second on his list of loves is the car. Rex could ride all day, gazing out the window, practicing his co-pilot skills, and appearing for all the world like hes on the most important adventure mission ever. Like most dogs, #teamlabrador included, Rex is also a big fan of finding the important sniffs and eating the best snacks.

Rex first found himself in need of rescue when he kept escaping the farm where he lived and a nearby vets office stepped in to get him help. Unfortunately, Rexs current home is now shutting down and the property where he lives is being sold.

Rex has some guarding behaviors as well as some fearful behavior that with a committed foster or adopter, we would love to have assessed through a qualified in home board and train before placing him. He will also come with post placement training support. Rex needs an adult only home but may have potential to live with both well matched dogs and cats depending on what the in home assessment tells us about his guarding behavior. Rexs behavior is very manageable in a kennel setting but its been a long time since hes lived in a home. In fact, were not sure hes ever lived indoors so wed like to set both Rex and his potential fosters/adopters up for safety and success.

This boy has had no trouble capturing the hearts of his caregivers and they all want to ensure that his next steps are the very best ones possible for him. If you might be interested in meeting Rex, please contact us. You will love this sweet, silly boy!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
