Meet Marco!

Marco is a 6-year-old retriever/lab mix and he is officially looking for his forever home. He currently weighs in at 37 pounds and is fully grown. Marco was a feral dog that was trapped in Stephens State Forest, along with 16 other feral dogs. They are currently learning to trust humans and learning to play with other dogs, here at the rescue. Prior to them being captured, they never had experience with human touch or even how to play with toys. They would need a fully fenced in yard as they are still learning to walk on a leash, and they would do best in a home without children. If you have patience, the capacity to nurture, and the ability to help teach, please think about adopting/fostering one of the "Forest Dogs". We cant describe the joy that you feel, watching this type of dog progress into happy confident dogs. It is truly amazing to see the first tail wag, the first playful act with a toy, the first lick on your hand, and all of the little milestones that will come along the way. Please consider Marco and the other Forest Dogs, to show them what a loving home can be.
