Rufus is a Viszla/Lab/Pit? Mix that is about 4 years old (as of 2022). He has striking yellow eyes and has affectionately earned the nickname "Roof The Goof. He gets extremely excited to see you after being away by wagging his entire body, not just the tail. He puts himself in yoga-like poses when resting. He wants to cuddle and be wrapped in a blanket after exercise. Loves to be with his human and follow you around the house. He has graduated from professional training, knows several commands, is house-trained, and crate-trained. Great with adults and kids over 7. He has not been around children younger than that. We do not recommend him with cats or small pets. Rufus has a lot of energy and is much stronger than he looks. Great trail running and hiking dog. Ideally, he will find a family that will be able to exercise with him every day and keep his training maintained. He is NOT ready to be off-leash or around large groups of dogs in a park setting. Can easily jump a 5-foot fence. In high-stress environments, he can show aggression. But he has done great with multiple large dogs in a home environment.
