Please meet Ridge! This handsome 5-year-old Lab/Hound mix is in need of a loving home. His owners adopted him at 10 months old and love him very much but they now live in neighborhood with many other dogs and, unfortunately, Ridge is not a fan of unfamiliar dogs. He has some canine buddies and is generally fine around dogs he gets to know; however, making new doggy friends is hard for him. Because he is quite reactive to strange dogs on leash, walks have become stressful for him – and for his owners. They are sad to part with him but have reached the conclusion that he will be happier in a different environment.

Ridge would need a home without little children. A home with older kids would work best for Ridge. Twelve and up.

Ridge is an affectionate fellow who loves his humans. He walks very well on a leash (when not distracted by the worry of oncoming strange dogs). A less active more rural location would be great for him....and a fenced yard would be ideal. He is well-behaved in the house, good natured and enjoys soaking up the sun on his deck. He also rides well in a car. Though he’s has never attended formal classes, this smart boy has easily mastered a multitude of commands.

The tendency to react to other dogs is not uncommon....some pups just can’t help themselves. We believe Ridge will thrive in an experienced home that can provide leadership and teach him to redirect his attention. He would also benefit greatly from positive reinforcement-based training. He is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccinations. If you are an experienced dog owner who would like to give this good boy the happy life he deserves, please contact Laurie at for an application and she’ll contact you. A meet and greet can be arranged in Manchester, NH for approved applicants.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
