Well, hello, my name is Bear or Boy.well they also call me AKA. Wait, my foster mom calls me Houdini ?
To be honest, I dont know my name - whistle, and I will come running. I arrived at my foster home to be honest; I dont know why Im here. But I do know I am here with Sissy, and she has become my best friend.
Im a good boy, but when I get scared or lonely, I will start calling out for people in my dog language; I just need to be with people or with Sissy.

I enjoy car rides and looking out the window: short walks and enough space to curl up at your feet if you are watching TV.

I dont need a kennel, and thank goodness my foster family stop using it - Im smart enough to open it.

I know simple commands and love learning new things. My foster dad said I had an old soul and would be a great companion for someone who lives alone and needs an alarm system.

I do promise I will be loyal, and as long as your hanging out with me, I will have no reason to use my dog voice.

If you go to work all day, I would like to suggest adopting Sissy (shes charming and easy on the eyes).

Or if you have another dog big or small, that can also work. I love all people and want to please everyone I meet.
Whomever had me before didnt take care of me, so I am heartworm positive. But fear not! I am on the slow kill treatment approach that is easier on me. And if adopted, the rescue will cover the cost of the slow kill treatment until I test negative. Bear-boy is in a foster home with other dogs (big and small) and children that he does well with.

Please consider making this adorable boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet. This can be found on our website at: https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1

$200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates.
If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
