Description:
Meet Hunter!

Hunter is one years old and life prior to his rescue has not been kind to him. He was brought into the shelter by his owner with his heavy chain still around his neck, infested with fleas, and patchy skin. He was afraid, timid, and unsure of this new place he was in, his eyes begged for help.

Thanks to a foster stepping up for him, vet care, and TLC he has come out of his shell and has learned what fun life can actually be. Hunter is very sweet and a happy boy now! All he wants is love and to play. Bonus points if you will throw the ball or play tug of war with him! He is also a very smart boy, who has learned sit, stay, and down while in foster care.

Hunter is great with kids and house trained, but can be dog selective. So he would do best with proper introductions and his own space to enjoy his meals and treats. Though he does enjoy the company of another dog, he would also do ok as an only dog.

To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesnt obligate you, but it is the first step. We dont get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
