All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fee is $400-$1000. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm on Saturday and 11 pm to 3 pm on Sunday at Palo Altos Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption fee: $550 Paz is a 6 month old Lab mix who was rescued by a Good Samaritan. From the moment he arrived in our rescue, he was a total sweetheart! His foster home has done a lot of training with him already, so his adopters will be getting a very well behaved puppy! Paz is very flexible. I usually get him up between 7:30 and 8. I feed him right away (he likes his food) and then he goes potty pretty quickly. After that we play and hang out for most of the day. I take him on walks when I can and he likes to be around while I am working. He is a good mix of sweetness and wanting attention vs. being independent. He usually goes back in the crate after dinner (at 6). I take him back out of the crate around 7:30-8pm to hang out until bed-time which is between 9-11. Paz is very good in the crate and it helps him relax. He is a super love bug sweetie pie! He loves affection and his people. He gets super excited when new people come over and flops on his back for belly rubs. I took him to a big party out at a friends yard and he loved it. He was extremely charming and sweet, not shy and not overly needy. A very nice balance. Paz LOVES my dogs so much. When they play with him, it makes his day. He has also played with a bunch of other dogs. He loves it. He is very dog friendly. He is also child friendly. He is not leash reactive at all. Paz is a good mix between energetic and lounger. He is pretty calm for a puppy. He can really adjust to whatever his new family will want. Paz is new on the leash but is pretty good! I would call him a natural. He will need a little training but he is very good for a puppy. Paz goes potty outside or on potty pads. I leave a door open to the yard so he just goes when he wants. He has had a few accidents so just making sure he can out a lot is helpful. I also put the water outside because he goes potty so quickly after he eats/drinks. He is pretty close to potty trained so this should not be too hard. Paz is not a nuisance barker. He barks occasionally when he gets overtired and this lets me know he might need some crate time. He has really minimal challenging behaviors. Paz would adore a home with a playful dog, though he could also be an only pup and get totally spoiled! He is very fun and playful. He is a super cutie and has charmed everyone who has met him. He is a great mellow/energetic balance and is pretty independent but also sweet. I think he would do great with any family. Paz is only an option for a home that has owned a dog in the last 5 years. Hes an option for kids over the age of 6.
