Midas was rescued on 8-29-2021 from a park in Orange County known for frequent rabbit dumping.  He was rather elusive but we nabbed him by surrounding him with an exercise pen when he thought he was safe hiding under a bush!

When you hold him close to your chest, he will nuzzle his nose under your chin and lick your neck.  Thats a sign of trust and affection.  His regal lionhead mane has grown considerably since first being rescued.  

He will thrive in a quiet household with someone who will patiently get to know his shy but cute personality as he learns to trust again after surviving the park. Let me tell you, there is nothing more satisfying than watching a bunny come out of its shell and blossom into a phenomenal companion animal!  

He was neutered on 9-27-2021 and he weighs about four pounds.  He has excellent litter box habits!  He may be interested in a female rabbit friend if you happen to have a single spayed female needing a husbun.

Please find a soft spot in your heart for Midas.  He didnt deserve to be abandoned at the park and he doesnt deserve to be stuck at the rescue either!  

Midas can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation is conducted.  The adoption fee is $80 which covers his neuter surgery cost. Any additional donations are appreciated to keep the rescue afloat. Delivery is also available to the greater Southern California region up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore.

If your bunny cant be free roaming INDOOR or live in a room INDOORS or a section of a room, then an x-pen enclosure or home made DIY wire grid system enclosure is a suitable alternative. If a cage/hutch or used then it is best of the door is left open and an x-pen placed around it.

Dont have the items you need to welcome a bunny to your home? No problem, I have low cost x-pen enclosures, litter boxes, bunny litter, hay, food pellets and toys to make new bunny ownership easier for you. Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
