Description:
Saylor is ready for his happily ever after. This sweet little 9 year old, 10lb, Maltese boy is as happy as they come, and will gleefully follow his person from room to room when he isnt busy hoarding all of the stuffed dog toys in his foster home. He is excellent with other dogs and cats and is quick to pour the love on his people! He is good with older, respectful children and enjoys the safety of the gentle adults. Saylor is generally friendly and outgoing, a teeny bit timid, but loves people and to explore new places. He is happiest when he has his people and a big pile of stuffy toys to hoard, snuggle and destroy. Saylor is good on leash, great about being groomed, crate trained and content to hang out or go on adventures. Saylor can be vocal at times so apartment living might not be the best fit, he also loves the freedom to meander in the safe confines of his own yard. Saylor is a healthy little dog with a bunch of love to give. He is doing great about going potty outside and will need continued support to ensure his success. He is best crated at night and when unattended. Saylor is great with other dogs but would also be fine as an only guy. He is a non-shedding type breed that also requires regular grooming every 6 or so weeks. Potential adopters should be prepared to provide that for him to keep his coat healthy and maintained. At some point in his past, Saylor suffered an injury to his right eye and has limited vision in that eye as a result. No medical treatment is necessary and he gets around just fine!

Saylors adoption fee is $200, he is fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Note that we work to carefully select adoptive homes that best meet the needs of the animals in our care and not on a first come, first serve basis. Thanks!
