Description:
Miguel is the total package—smart, loves people, gets along with male and female dogs, knows sit, down, housetrained...and the list goes on! Miguel, is a Maremma who came into rescue as an owner surrender. He was very depressed for a few days—as if he had been very attached to his family and his heart was broken. His foster mom gave him time and love and after several days, he opened his heart and now wants to be her best friend! Miguel’s tail never stops wagging; especially when he is around people. He is undergoing leash training and catching on very quickly! He loves to play and run around the yard but will come into the house and settle right down, and not mind being in a crate. Miguel will need a yard where he can patrol and continue to play and run with a fence that is at least 5 ft due to his height. He is currently 95 lbs but extremely underweight so will be a big boy with time and a good diet. Miguel loves grooming time, hes just happy to be with you :) He rides great in the car, and just loves getting attention! Do you have cats – that is a bonus as Miguel loves cats, greeting them wagging his tail a mile a minute! Miguel’s ideal home will be a family with big dog experience and plenty of love and guidance to give, another dog, and a cat or two. Are you ready to let Miguel into your heart and accept his unconditional love—put in an application today!

For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
