Homer Glen, IL, 60491
Pet name:
Miniature Schnauzer
Walter is sweet and adorable and looking for a great forever home! Walter was give up by his owner who could no longer care for him. Upon arrival to our rescue, it was also discovered Walter hadn’t been vetted in a few year, had awful awful skin with several giant sores, malnourished, and has dental disease. We started Walter on some antibiotics for his skin along with some special baths and sprays to help calm things down. We are switching his diet to see if that will help long term. He has also been scheduled to receive his dental the middle of September. Walter is a very sweet pup who just loves to cuddle. He walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the kitties and doggies here. His favorite spot is a lap! He does seem to have a little separation anxiety so would do best in a home with someone home most of the time. Stay tuned for more updates.

Walter is a 12-year-old miniature schnauzer, has a microchip, neutered, up to date on his shots, heartworm and fecal tested negative and will be getting a dental. He is good with other dogs and also cats.

Please help Walter with his medical needs and his upcoming dental. Donations can be made to our Paypal at or or Venmo @petprofilerescue
