Description:
Cato is a 12 year old male mixed breed. He weighs 65 pounds. He is still an active boy for his age. Unfortunately, Cato has been in and out of the shelter several times. Often for issues out of his control such as landlord or HOA restrictions. From our time with Cato and input from previous homes we have learned quite a bit about him. Cato can be friendly with other dogs although he is very fond of humping and needs a dog friend or friends that can give him appropriate corrections when theyve had enough. Dogs that are not fond of being humped or that are prone to overcorrections may not make good dog friends for Cato. We always recommend a meet and greet with any resident dogs. If you are unsure about your pups feelings on this type of play, our staff can help by supervising a meet and greet and explaining the behaviors they observe. Cato can not be in a home with cats including feral cats that may go in and out of the yard. Cato has been around children of varying ages and the only complaint we have received is that he can be a little rambunctious for smaller children, especially due to his size. We always recommend a meet and greet with any children in the household or children that visit often, such as grandkids. Please call for more information or to make an appointment to meet Cato. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
