Popeye is a joyful, funny,  perennially happy dog and a total flirt with everybody.  We bring him on shelter outings because he loves people and adores other dogs.  He recently had to come back to us because, at 3, he had a more playful energy than the older, smaller dog in the home and it just wasn’t the best fit for either of them.  Popeye would LOVE to find a home with another dog who could be his playmate and friend.  He is up for anything and would really enjoy having an active human who would take him on walks and hikes and trips through the drive-thru where they give dogs a paper cup full of delicious creamy cream, which he has learned is called whip cream.  Popeye spent a few months in a foster home, where he was really thriving, prior to his adoption.  He would love to get back into a home again soon because he loved every minute of the comfortable life.   If you’re looking for a big guy (about 60 pounds) with a huge personality, Popeye would be perfect. He has many fans at PAWS Atlanta.  So, he’s getting plenty of attention.
