m Sylvester! I also go by Sly and Silly. Its okay that my foster people call me multiple names because Im super smart so Im know theyre talking to me no matter which name they say! Not to brag, but I figured out potty training really fast and I learned to sit on command in less than 10 minutes. (Okay, it helps to have a foster sister to show me the ropes. But I would have learned even if she werent always bossing me around!) Im about 4-5 months old and 24 pounds. Foster mama thinks Ill be about 55-60 lbs when Im big (but she makes no guarantees). She says my cute little snoot and my goofy sweet personality make her think I have some boxer in me. I love to jump on top of things, figure out new stuff, and please people. If youre looking for a dog who might do training or tricks (but without super high-energy herding instincts), Im a great prospect! Im figuring out how to walk on a leash right now. I dont pull, but Im prone to tangles because Im SO excited to see the world! But Im also happy to stay home if thats where you are. I enjoy sitting and watching people cook, especially. I dont beg but I will definitely handle anything that falls on the floor! Im good with kids, cats, and dogs. Im a puppy so I can be a little mouthy, but Im learning! I will grow out of that. Also, Im what they call a Velcro dog (which I probably wont grow out of!). Im happiest with people, preferably touching them. I love to snuggle, and I form bonds with humans quickly and easily. One of my favorite things to do is drop my head into your hand or onto your leg to prompt a good ear scratch. We are working on house manners and how to be super gentle with tiny humans. I get upset when they cry and try to fix it. Foster mama says Im a "nanny dog" and I just have more love to give than my little body can contain right now. We are working on crate training. I wont usually go into the crate voluntarily yet, but I do know its mine and I like the soft pillow in there. I would rather sleep with my humans, but I only cry for a minute or two when I go in my crate for bedtime, and Im getting better every night. Even though Im really still a baby, I can already hold it for 8 hours overnight in my crate. When I came to Pitt Friends, I was super skinny. I love food so we will get that fixed in short order. Im a little bit scared of thunder and (believe it or not) the dark, but I know the right person to help me gain confidence with scary stuff is out there! Im not available for adoption quite yet, but you can go ahead and fill out a pre-adoption application at pittfriends.com if you want to be first in line to meet me!
