Below are the basics of how adoption from Palmetto Paws works as well as some information on this particular pup.
Please read this in full prior to completing an application.
Thank you for your interest in adoption from Palmetto Paws. If you would like to be considered to adopt from PPAR please complete the online application on the home page. Completing an application does not guarantee an adoption. The age to be considered for adoption is 25. As we receive many applications we are not always able to respond to everyone. We will be in touch with the selected applicant to arrange a meet/potential adoption. Once the pet has been adopted we remove the listing. We will not consider applications for those not able to meet/adopt on the upcoming Saturday or at a time designated by the rescue. Adoptions are done usually on Saturdays as we are all volunteers who work full time during the week. Dogs live in private foster homes. We do not host events and there is no opportunity to view multiple dogs. We will not consider incomplete applications. The question regarding heartworm disease must be answered in full. If you are not familiar with this preventable yet potentially deadly disease please research it and complete the question in entirety or your application will not be considered. We feel all adopters should be knowledgeable about heartworm disease. All current household pets must be up to date on vaccines, preventaives and be spayed/neutered for adoption consideration. We will not process applications that are not for a specific dog listed on petfinder. We don’t take applications for those not listed on Petfinder. We do not process and "hold" applications. We do not ship dogs and we do not arrange transports. All adopters must be present to complete the adoption. If an adopter is approved we do a “meet and greet” with a specific dog or pup. If at the meet we all agree it’s a good match, then the adoption takes place at that time. Their is no opportunity to meet and adopt at a later date. Again, please only apply if you are available on Saturday and ready to adopt. Please keep in mind that we do our best to make an educated guess as to the breeds of our rescued pets. In rescue we rarely see the parents puppies, and even when we do, they are usually mixed breeds as well. We will never promise a particular breed or adult size. We do our best to put all info we have in the bio. We will not respond to inquires regarding information that is already detailed in the bio.
Adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (unless the rescue Veterinarian deems the pup/dog will need to be adopted on a SN contract), have age appropriate vaccines, are current on hw and flea preventatives and microchipped. All adopters are provided with a medical summary, a new collar and leash, a few toys and chews, food to get started, an opportunity to go over basic training/pet care and help shopping for supplies if needed.
If interested in adoption please submit an application! The application is found on our home page at

Snap’s DOB is 5/2/22. While we have no idea of breed or potential adult size we think he will be a medium/large dog. Snap is sweet, social, good with other dogs and walks well on leash. Currently 32lbs.

Adoption Fee $450

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
