Ocean City, NJ : After losing the only home he knew for eight years, REX was dumped in a city shelter along with his one year old canine sibling. She was very quickly adopted but poor eight-year-old Rex still sits there and is up next for euthanasia an overcrowded city shelter! Rex is an incredibly sweet, handsome and gentle dog. He guards his food as many dogs do in a shelter situation and for this reason he needs a rescue to help him be saved. Rex is about 60 pounds, he loves to play ball and absolutely adores squeaky toys. He’s playful and sweet, has great manners and is quite healthy! Rex lived with another female dog, so we have reason to believe he would do just fine with another friendly female companion. He is neutered, up-to-date on his shots and micro chipped. Rex has years left to love another family and add joy to their life. Let’s not let him down. Please consider fostering or adopting this sweet boy. Contact us at info@amsterdog.org, or 917 689 - 8414 or fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org. And thanks for caring about a dog in need!
