Meet Jacopo, a 3-year-old tawny male who has been bounced around in several homes. We know nothing about the first owner, other than that they purchased Jacopo from Petland then eventually put him up for sale on Craigslist.

The second owner who got him from Craigslist had him for three months, but allegedly had too many animals in the home and was forced by Animal Control the Department of Children and Families to surrender two of the dogs. The third owner had Jacopo for only a few weeks and stated that he was underweight and showed signs of abuse. This owner, who surrendered Jacopo to Mastino Rescue, was in the middle of a divorce and likely selling the house, and consequently unable to keep Jacopo. Now that he is Mastino Royalty, we are determined to find his perfect home where he will be for the rest of his life.

Jacopo is obedience and crate trained but could use some help walking on a leash. He did fine with other large dogs in his second home, but he cannot go to a home with another guardian breed male. He is good with cats! He does have some anxious behaviors, possibly from abuse, so someone who can help build his confidence would be wonderful. Hes already neutered and will brought up to date on his shots soon, and he will also need cherry eye and entropion surgeries as well. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a forever home, please apply to foster-to-adopt on our website! https://www.mastino-rescue-inc.org/adopt

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
