Description:
Murphy arrives to Minnesota on October 8th and is looking for a home to call his own. He would love it if you would pick him up that day and make him yours. All adoptions have a 7 day trial period to ensure the best fit for dog and human(s).

If you are looking for your next large fluffy friend look no further than Murphy. This boy was found as a stray by a family in Alabama. They searched far and wide for his owners but couldn’t find anyone looking for this boy. Our rescue partners were full so the family held him until they had room to take him in. They said he was great in the house and did well with the other canines. He is a big boy at almost 100lbs and is estimated to be a young adult (2-3 years old). While he does great with kids, he would do best in a home with older kids just due to his size and his affinity for giving hugs. Yes he will stand on his back legs and give you a hug which makes him about 5 feet tall. His new family will either need to like this or be willing to work with training him not to give hugs. He came to rescue heartworm positive and has gone through treatment already prior to coming to Minnesota. For those big dog lovers out there, Murphy is a can’t miss!!

Requirements: Older kids due to his love for giving hugs

Adoption Fee: $550 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.
