Meet Spike, aka the grumpy grandpa of TLBD. Despite being a solidly middle-aged Parsons terrier mix, Spike has the disposition of a man that just wants to enjoy his retirement after an exhausting lifetime of manual labor. His great big puppy dog eyes and prairie dog posture make him a master of first impressions. This is a lie. Spike is a professional con artist. The kind that will sweet talk his way into your Nanas home, disrespect her casserole, and ruin her financially...twice. Do you enjoy relaxing on the couch but wish it included an uncomfortable level of eye contact? Spike is watching, waiting for his invitation and he would appreciate it if you would move now, thanks. He will ask for head pats and belly rubs (BEG for them actually) but growl and snarl until you work up the nerve to stop. 

On the bright side, Spike is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and gets along\xa0well with dogs that are indifferent to his antics. He is looking for a forever home that appreciates a challenge and will love him for the complicated, deceitful dog that he is.
