Simba is a 9 year old pit bull type dog looking for his retirement home! While he is an older gentleman, he is in good health. Simba cannot live with other dogs (or animals in general) but he is generally non reactive and is fine out in the world, walking past dogs, etc. He just doesn’t want to be friends with them or live with him. He walks well on leash, has decent house manners, is not destructive, is crate trained, and rides well in the car.

He really enjoys just hanging with his humans, playing with toys, sunbathing and being a couch potato. He needs to burn off steam every day in the form of walks, hikes or yard time but is not a high energy dog at this point in his life and will be happy to relax in the house afterwards.

Simba also doesn’t want to live with young kids as they can be overwhelming for him (same) but could possibly live in a home with a teenager, we will consider that on a case by case basis.

We know homes with no animals and no kids are very hard to come by but we know Simba could do great in the right home, as he’s done in the past. We really want to make sure Simba’s next home is his forever, so please don’t apply if you don’t fit the criteria or may have changes in your life in the future that could change your situation to one that isn’t compatible with Simba. He’s a great buddy dog if you’re looking for a daily companion to hang out with, go on walks, car rides, watch the game, grill in the backyard.

If you think he’d be a good fit for you, please email us at

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
