No kids under 12, no cats, no first time dog owners. Ideal home: Hey there! My name is Rimpy, a 3 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix. I arrived here as a stray back in May. Upon my arrival it was discovered that I was microchipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. Therefore, nobody was able to contact my family and also, my family never came looking. During my time here, The Behavior Team noticed I was pretty reactive on leash to other animals and needed to work on this prior to me finding a new home. I finally graduated the rehabilitation program and am ready to find a home. Of course, I will need a family committed to continuing my training most importantly. I am not by any means “fixed”, but able to managed safely in the right hands! Prior to my adoption, The Behavior Team will meet with my prospective family to go over all this and more. I do also resource guard a bit and am grabby when it comes to my belongings, so children over 12 years are best. I aim to please and listen well, so with that continued training I’ll require I can keep working on being the best boy in town! Also, I am very affectionate, love being close and loved on. I have had a few successful off leash meetings with other dogs, so me having a dog friend is not out of the question. I do not like to share my belongings with other dogs, so you’ll have to keep that in mind. Being an only dog is perfectly fine as well, I am enough dog to be an only! Oh and no cats, please! I see that I might be asking for a lot, but I am wanting to have a successful life with a family committed to what I need. If that could be with you, ask to meet me, Rimpy!
