This distinguished gentleman is past all that puppy stuff, and is looking for a home to call his own! Kennel trained? Yes Walks well on leash? Yes Dog friendly? Yes *Murdock has been in boarding while waiting for his forever family. This means he will need extra patience while he learns manners and how to thrive in a home. This will be a little more work, but we promise hes worth it!* Check out a video of your potential cutie here! https://youtu.be/hANuEcEaw_I Murdock is a stunning 5 year old, 50 pound medium energy pittie who knows his basic commands, gets along with other pups, and would do great in a home with other friendly dogs and kids over the age of 10, or on his own! He will definitely be a conversation starter while youre out on the trail or down at the beach! Murdock was having the time of his life playing with the other dogs in the play yard. He was running around and had good play cues. There was a small dog in the yard and he did really good with him also. Murdock did very good during his food test, he was able to eat out of the food bowl at the same time as the other dog and they even were licking cheese off of each others noses. During the assessment there was another dog who was stressed out and lunged, growled, and barked in his face. Murdock did react and he growled and barked back, we pulled them away from each other. Murdock did not aggress, he avoided, and was able to calm down. We reintroduced them and he did not hold a grudge. They both were okay with each other and respected each others space. Murdock responds well to a firm snap and release. He is very smart and loves his stuffy toys! Murdock has not been tested with cats. Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
