Howard is an 1-year-old male Pit Bull mix who must be neutered before he is adopted. He came to PAHS, like so many others have, as a stray who was found in the city. Howards owner never came in to reclaim him. He is a nice looking guy who has a black coat with white markings. Howard weighs 41 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized young adult dog. He is super active, and for that reason, we would suggest he not be in a home with small children. Howard would be fine with older kids. Howard is working on his leash training; and we think, with a little patience, he will soon be walking on a leash like a pro. He seems to like other dogs; but if you have another dog, we would suggest a meet and greet with Howard and your dog at the shelter. Howard would need a securely fenced yard where he could exercise and safely play. Come meet our handsome Howard soon.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $75 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $35 (as long as funds are available). Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under special needs our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
