Richmond, VA, 23231
Pet name:
Sweet Potato in Colonial Heights VA
Pit Bull Terrier
Location: Colonial Heights, VASay Hello to Sweet Potato!
Would you know he is our longest running resident? In late July, Colonial Heights Animal Services provided mutual aid to another jurisdiction.
Sweet Potato was found on a chain heavier than he was. He had no toys, no freedom, no grass and little to no interaction with people or other dogs.
Sweet Potato is neutered male pitbull mix that is 2 years young and is dreaming of his happily ever after. We are still hopeful that this boy can find a home where couch surfing, walks and cuddling are served daily.
You can often find Sweet Potato spending his time in the yard throwing his toys in the air, chasing after tennis balls and basking in the sunshine.
This handsome boy is looking for an active family that has a ton of love to give. He would do best as an only dog and with children over 12 years of age. It has taken time for us to erase some of the damage from his past. He is doing very well but will need someone who is willing to continue his healing journey!!
If you think you may be a match for Sweet Potato, Please call the shelter at 804-520-9397 to schedule an appointment.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
