MEET LOUIE!

Louie is an affectionate rambunctious pitbull mix. He is around 57lbs and 3 years old, but has to spirit of a big puppy.  He’s the type of dog that loves to run around the house with his toys, but then will lay on the couch for a snuggle or happily look outside the window for hours. 

Louie loves everyone he meets, but due to his powerful wiggles and excitement, may be a bit much for young children so he is looking for an adult only home! He wags his tail nonstop when someone gives him a glance.  Louie is housebroken and crate trained.  He is very treat motivated and will try every training command he remembers to try and get the treats in your hand. While Louie is very people friendly, his new family should be versed in resource guarding body language. Louie should be an only dog. He does currently live in foster with other pitbulls, but they only meet during walks. He would do best in a quiet suburban or rural setting. 

We are looking for a strong breed savvy adopter who loves a silly face, loyalty, kisses and lots of snuggles. His forever parents must be dedicated to maintaining and continuing his training. Louie’s trainer has dedicated a complimentary 90 minute transition training session.

Pit bull & strong breed adoption criteria
- Must be over 25 years of age to adopt a Pit Bull, Pit Bull mix, or strong breed dog.
- Written landlord permission or a pet policy allowing the specific breed is required for adoption approval.
- A virtual home visit may be required.
- Training or breed experience is required as part of the adoption.
- Agree to not take the dog to dog parks or dog daycare.
