Petey Meatball was rescued one hour before his scheduled euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter. He waited 6 months for a home and was passed over every day because he was just another black pittie mix. But Petey isnt just another dog. He is the sweetest, most loveable meatball. He wants nothing more than a belly rub and to cuddle in your lap. He seriously loves EVERYONE. He is a hugger and greets every new person with an actual hug and wagging tail. He loves people and cries to be with them. It breaks our hearts that no one wants to love him back. There has to be someone that can give him the love he so desperately wants and deserves. Petey is young, neutered, and UTD on vaccinations. He has not been cat tested but generally does not do well around small animals, so we dont feel he would be a good housemate for a cat. He should not be around small animals like ducks and birds because he thinks they are toys that fly. He gets along with other friendly dogs. He loves to play, but is not hyper. He is very smart and thrives on human companionship. Because of Peteys size, he will do best in a home with older teens/young adult children or no children, and bigger playful dogs. He is a loveable boy, but he is a fat butt wrecking ball -- a bull in a China shop -- and he doesnt understand he is not a lap dog. His clumsiness is hilarious, and the way he throws toys to himself, and misses, will keep you laughing! He is pure joy.
