Beauties Beast Crew responded to a report of two dogs on chains. Kong, an older dog with pressure sores on his body, a sizeable growth on one of his legs and a thick, heavy chain weighing down his every move. Underweight, hungry and so very thirsty. The other one was just a baby. A puppy, Link, that our friends at Always and Forever agreed to take into their care. We are blessed to have amazing rescue partners who care as much as we do about breaking the cycle of chain dogs.

Kong is now a Beauty. He will never suffer at the end of a chain again. He is learning he is safe and his old tired body is resting in the warmth with blankets, access to fresh water and food and his new baby that gives him comfort.

Even when we know we are out of space, and we dont know what kind of medical expense we are facing for him, we couldnt turn away from Kong.

We are thankful to the person who saw something and said something. Kong and Link are grateful too.

No more chains sweet Kong. You are safe, you are loved, and you will be cared for from this day forward.
