Beau (formerly known as  Buddy) is a pointer mix, about 18 months old, weighs close to 50 pounds.

Beau was adopted as a puppy but unfortunately needs to be rehomed because he has a lot of anxiety as a single dog in his home.  Beau is smart,  treat motivated and learns quickly.  He is still very puppy-like: goofy, loves belly rubs and snuggle time with his people. He knows basic commands, is crate trained and housebroken. 

Beau has lots of energy, so physical exercise  and mental stimulation are a great outlets for him.   He goes to doggie daycare.  He gets along with the dogs and cats, and loves to play with other dogs.  In doggie daycare he gets about 4 hours of exercise/ playtime, takes naps, goes on walks, and loves to have a bone to chew on.  He walks nicely on a leash when he is out with another dog.   He has a high prey drive, and loves to chase squirrels and birds.  

Beau is looking for a home with an active family, experienced owners, and a calm, confident, medium or large dog, ideally a female. He does not have any experience with children, so a home with teenagers or older would be best. He is not suited for apartment living.

We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dogs adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescues name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom.  STOP! If you have not been notified of your approval status do not make a deposit.
