DOGS DESCRIPTION:
Alfa is a sweet, energetic, playful, smart pup. His breed was originally thought to be pointer/hound mix, but his trainer thinks he might actually be cattle dog because of all of his energy! He loves socializing and running with the bigger dogs during dog park visits, playing tug of war, and is starting to fetch when other distractions arent around. When the day is winding down, he likes to snuggle next to you on the sofa and sleep. Alfa is crate trained and well along his way to being housebroken. He will do well in a home with someone who can spend some time teaching him good manners. Alfa may be a bit too playful for small kids and would do best in a home with older children. If you are up for some fun and games, fill out an application and meet Alfa today!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
