Meet George, or Georgie as hes known by all of his friends. George came to us from a breeding facility, after he was no longer needed.
He is as adorable apricot mini poodle who weighs about 13 lbs, the vet believes he is about 7 years old. 
He originally was very shut down and scared of everything, but he has come out of his shell and is learning to be a house dog in his foster home. He is a true snuggle bug, once he gets to know you. He can be nervous and timid around new places and people but after getting comfortable he has shown to be a great companion! 
George lives with another pup currently and gets along great with him, and he has done great with all sized dogs! We are recommending George go to a home with another pup so he can continue learning the ropes of being a family pup, and to gain confidence. 
When walking on a leash he does great in a familiar area. When in a new environment with many distractions he often gets overwhelmed and will not walk on the leash, on the bright side, he does great in a kangaroo pouch and is very content being carried!
George has been known to sneak out doors and gates, his forever family will need to be equipped to handle this and work with him on this behavior. Due to Georges size and nervousness around new people, we would prefer any children to be dog savvy and over the age of 12. 
George is housebroken, however. he does have a habit of marking and wears a belly band in his foster home, his new family will need to continue working on this behavior and regression is common when changing environments. 
George is up to date on vaccinations; neutered and had teeth removed while in our care. If you think George is a good fit for you please fill out an application!
