Do they talk?: yes
Do they bite?: He has not been trained and is reportedly afraid of everything. We believe that he has not been introduced to the enrichment of building to help him become confident and comfortable.
Do they get along with other animals?: Should always be supervised around other animals.
No cats or ferrets. We do not adopt to families with cats or ferrets.
Do they get along with kids?: Should be supervised with kids.

Their story: Kiwi hasn’t received a fair shake in the pet trade except for his friend, Argon. If you are interested in Kiwi, then you need to commit to training him so that he can have a life without fear.

If you would like to meet Kiwi (and Argon, who has her own profile), please go to Papayagorescuehouse.org, to fill out our adoption application. Since Kiwi is illegal in the state of Georgia, the only potential adopters to be considered will be from Quaker-friendly states. We will not separate them unless we see evidence of a lack of bonding.

If you cannot adopt him, could you sponsor his stay at Papayago? You could either set up a monthly $35 donation in his name here: https://papayagorescuehouse.org/donate/

Name: Argon
Age/Hatch Date: Approximately 10 years old
Species: Sun Conure
Sex: Female
Adoption fee: $300.
Do they talk?: yes
Do they bite?: When she is unsure and pushed.
Do they get along with other animals?: Should always be supervised around other animals.
No cats or ferrets. We do not adopt to families with cats or ferrets.
Do they get along with kids?: Should be supervised with kids.

Their story: Argon was presumed to be male. She has lived with 2 other birds at one time but now only one other, a Quaker named Kiwi. Mom dropped the kids off for babysitting and never came back. Well, heres to not looking back because Argon and Kiwi are doing just fine. She eats pellet and is a very well-mannered, well-behaved Sun conure. She is a typical parrot so you need to not spoil her.
