Bear is a young boy who lived with his former owner for about six months prior to first coming to PACC. His former person described him as a friendly, mellow dog who likes people. He was extremely overwhelmed by the shelter environment when he first arrived, so he spent some time in PACCs decompression program for shy and fearful dogs. He graduated from that program and was adopted, but that home wasnt quite the right fit and Bear is back at the shelter still searching for his forever home. In his most recent home, he was reportedly housebroken and doggy door trained. Bear was unfortunately kept primarily outdoors, so needs to find a home where he has a place inside and by his familys side. An outdoor life just isnt suitable for any pet- dogs are social creatures just like people! During his most recent behavioral evaluation, Bear was easygoing and social with the other dogs. Hed like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure its a good fit. Bear has really come around during his time with us and is friendly, sweet, and affectionate with his staff and volunteer friends. Hell need time to feel comfortable with a new family, so needs just a bit of patience to settle in. Hell also do best in a home without cats or birds. Ask about Bear today!
