Description:
Harris is a handsome 2 year old Belgium Malinois mix who will need a quiet home with few visitors. Due to his breed, Harris is an excellent watchdog and protector. Therefore, he would not do well with children under the age of 12 and would need to be the only dog in the household.

Harris loves to be outside, go for walks and TRIES to play with the squirrels! A 6 ft fence would be needed as he is an awesome jumper! He is housebroke and kennel trained, although he gets pretty excited when his human comes home. Positive reinforcement training needs to continue for this guy.

Harris needs time to feel safe with new people. Interested adopters should expect a few meetings for Harris to get to know them. A trainer will be a part of the process to help Harris and his new owners work well together.

The suggested adoption donation for Harris is $365, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you would like to welcome Harris into your home, please begin by submitting our adoption application. The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver the dogs.

Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
