Sanctuary Update: Bosworth has been a very sweet and loving guy with the entire staff. He is a big sweet goofy boy who loves attention. He and our big alpha girl Nikki get along extremely well and can fully be trusted to be alone with each other, although we do feed them separately to be safe. Bosworth has been trained to jump into his crate at meal time and can stay in the crate for some time after without putting up any fuss. When walking by the other dogs yards he does get worked up, so it would be ideal for his person to be strong and training minded, especially if you live in an area where he will encounter other dogs on walks etc. But the ideal home for Bosworth would be in a country setting with dog savvy folks, either as an only dog or with one other female dog that he has proven to get along well with during a meet and greet here at the sanctuary. Bosworth is a big, loving and handsome guy! Bio before sanctuary transfer: Handsome, big white Shepherd. He is easy going, and a good walking partner. Though he pulls initially, he calms down. Hes gentle and sweet with children and loves rides in the car. He would be a loving and loyal addition for a family or couple with time to share with their dog. Bosworth lives with a BIG GIRL Nikki and does great, though in a home he likely will be better solo, he can have some attitude towards other dogs - if he is to be mixed, he needs a strong, dog savvy person with ability to do proper introductions, and read his body language - first he needs to know he is not in charge. Bosworth has a totally charming side to him - but he is not for the new initiate or the faint of heart! A big love with people, if you have a property and want a large presence who is also a sweetheart hes a great candidate! *Foster Notes* "Bosworth loves to travel in vehicles and go on car rides. Needs more socializing with other dogs. Loves to chew on toys." If interested in this sweet guy please email an application to sanctuary@milofoundation.org Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioral issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioral "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.
